Why do I pay tourist tax when my house is not on a holiday park?
Your booking shows a line called 'Allowances & Taxes'. Where a municipality levies a tourist tax, we remit this via that line to that municipality. The amount in your booking confirmation is binding; nothing is added afterwards.
Your booking shows a line called Allowances & Taxes. That line is a combined charge: it contains our service costs and the levies that apply to tourist stays, including the local tourist tax.
Where a municipality levies a tourist tax, we remit this via the line item 'Allowances & Taxes' to that municipality.
We charge this levy on every tourist stay in our collection, including houses that are not located on a holiday park. The amount you see when booking and in your booking confirmation is the amount that applies. No surcharges or taxes are added afterwards.
This is also set out in article 5 of our terms and conditions at specialstays.com/en/voorwaarden.
