FEI WBFSH World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses Zangersheide

From 16 to 20 September 2026, the world's best five, six, and seven-year-old showjumpers compete for the world title at Domain Zangersheide in Lanaken. Admission is free. Park Sonnevijver is located just over a kilometre from the grounds, so you can cycle there in a few minutes and pop back between classes.

Stallion Approval Zangersheide 2026

From Thursday 17 to Saturday 19 September 2026, Zangersheide will hold its annual stallion approval at Domein Zangersheide in Lanaken. The event runs partly parallel to the World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses. Park Sonnevijver is within cycling distance.

Binnenstad Maastricht
Carnival in Maastricht runs from Sunday to Tuesday and is organized by the Tempeleers, among others, in collaboration with the municipality. In 2027, the festivities take place from 7 to 9 February, with the Grand Parade on Carnival Sunday.

The Amstel Gold Race is a cycling race through South Limburg starting in Maastricht and finishing in Berg en Terblijt. In 2027, recreational cyclists will ride the route on Saturday 17 April, followed by the professionals on Sunday 18 April.
