How do I adjust the underfloor heating or heat pump?
Turn up the thermostat in small increments, half a degree to a full degree at a time at most. Underfloor heating responds slowly: it takes hours before you notice the difference.
Underfloor heating powered by a heat pump operates with a large thermal mass. You will only notice an adjustment to the thermostat after a few hours, sometimes even the next day. Turning it up significantly does not help and mainly results in a house that is too warm during the night.
What to do
- Turn the thermostat up by half a degree to one degree at most.
- Wait at least a few hours before adjusting it again.
- Check that the thermostat is not set to holiday or eco mode.
- Keep doors and windows closed while warming up.
Do not adjust valves, manifolds, or bleed valves yourself, and do not flush the system. This causes pressure loss and shuts down the heating system. If it does not get warm, please contact us.
