How does licence plate recognition work at the barrier?
Cameras read your licence plate upon arrival. If the licence plate is linked to your booking in advance, the barrier opens automatically. Always let us know about any changes beforehand.
At parks with licence plate recognition, a camera reads your plate at the barrier. If that licence plate is linked to your booking, the barrier opens automatically. You do not need to do anything: drive slowly until you are right in front of the barrier and wait a few seconds.
How to avoid any hassle
- Provide your licence plate when booking, exactly as it appears on the plate.
- If you arrive in a different car or a rental car, please let us know beforehand: an unlinked licence plate will not open the barrier.
- Foreign licence plates work as long as they have been provided correctly.
- If you have a trailer or caravan with its own licence plate, please provide it separately.
If the barrier does not open, use the intercom at the post or the PIN code from your confirmation. We can also add your licence plate remotely.
