How does the induction hob work?
Induction heats the pan itself, not the hob surface. Only pans with a magnetic base work; you can test this with a magnet.
Induction heats the bottom of the pan directly via a magnetic field. This makes it fast and responsive when you turn down the heat. Only pans with a magnetic base work; hold a magnet against the bottom to test. The pans provided in the house are suitable.
If you get an error message or the hob beeps, there is usually no pan or an unsuitable pan on the zone, or the child lock is activated. Turn the hob off completely and back on again.
The cooking zone itself does not get hot, but the glass surface warms up from the pan. Do not touch the hob after cooking while the residual heat indicator is lit.
