Can I barbecue or light a fire?
Whether a barbecue is available is listed under the amenities of the house. In some locations, barbecuing and open fires outdoors are not permitted due to the risk of fire.
Under Amenities on the page for the house, you can see if a barbecue is available. If it is not listed, please assume there isn't one.
At a number of our houses in the forest, barbecuing, using a fire pit, or lighting another open fire outdoors is not permitted. The risk of fire is too high there. What applies to your house can be found on the house page and in your arrival information.
A fireplace, wood stove, or sauna heater is different: these are enclosed heaters and you are welcome to use them where available. How they work can be found in the separate instructions for each heater.
