From 16 to 20 September 2026, the world’s best five-, six-, and seven-year-old showjumpers compete for the world title at Domain Zangersheide in Lanaken. Admission is free. Stay with us at Park Sonnevijver, just over a kilometre away: your own cottage, your own kitchen, your own terrace, and back home within minutes after the final class.
Why stay here
The FEI WBFSH Jumping World Breeding Championship for Young Horses is on the calendar for the 31st time in 2026. For five days, everything at Zangersheide revolves around young showjumpers. From 16 to 19 September, Belgian riders also compete for the national championship, breeding stallions jump at 1.50m in the FEI Sires of the World, and foals and young horses are auctioned during the Zangersheide Quality Auction and Quality Jumpers. From 17 to 19 September, Zangersheide also holds its stallion licensing on the same grounds.
The audience is international: breeders, dealers, riders, and enthusiasts from all over Europe and beyond. Those staying at home can follow along via the ClipMyHorse.TV livestream.
Park Sonnevijver is located on Heidestraat in Rekem-Lanaken, just over a kilometre as the crow flies from the venue. Easy cycling distance. So there is no need to book a hotel room in Maastricht or Hasselt and make the drive every morning and evening. Instead, brew your own coffee, enjoy lunch on your private terrace between classes, and enjoy space for your entire group.
