Gids op Zondag (Guided Tours on Sunday)
On selected Sundays, you can discover Lanaken’s heritage sites in a unique way during Guided Tours on Sunday. Experienced guides will show you the history and hidden details of these locations, sharing engaging stories, anecdotes and insights that bring your visit to life. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore Lanaken’s rich history together with family or friends.
Upcoming tour dates:
- Waterburcht: Sunday 19 april
- Distillery Senden, every last Sunday of the month from April to October. 26 April, 31 May and 28 June (more dates to follow)
- Neanderthalersite Hezerwater: Saturday 30 May > Yes, on a Saturday!
- Sint-Ursula Church: Sunday 7 June
- Oud-Rekem: Sunday 12 July and Sunday 30 August
The tours are free of charge and always start at 14:00. Registration is not required, but recommended. Stop by and be surprised!

Guided Cycling Tours
In addition to walking tours, you can also explore Lanaken and its surroundings by bike. On selected Sundays, guided cycling tours are organised to help you discover the area. Perfect for those who enjoy heritage, storytelling and relaxed cycling.
